Starting to see tons of “Share if you love Thanksgiving” etc. posts. Remember folks, if the post ASKS you to share it, there is about a 99.999% chance that it’s what’s called click bait. Doesn’t matter how much you agree with the post, whether it has a disabled vet in it, or a said looking puppy, sharing it is doing a major dis-service to all of your friends. People come up with these type of posts and get paid for everyone that shares or comments on them. Advertisers then know it’s a “live” Facebook account and bombard it with adds.

If you MUST share these type of posts, then cut/paste the picture and create a NEW post to forward on. This kills the click bait link. If it’s not worth the effort to cut/paste, then don’t share it.
