Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route (MABDR)

MABDR is a scenic ride for dual-sport and adventure motorcycles that uses dirt, gravel and paved roads to wind through remote parts of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Yesterday the weather was beautiful, so I took advantage of it and rode a decent chunk of the new Mid-Atlantic Back Country Discovery Route (MABDR) -Section 5. This is a route intended for dual-sport/adventure motorcycles. It’s a mix of back country paved and dirt roads that wind their way from the southern end of Virginia to the top of Pennsylvania. Section 5 is essentially the Maryland and PA portion of the route. If I find one or more riding buddies, I’ll do the whole route.
