Why is it every time I go up to the Jersey shore it’s during a major weather system. Here we wandered out for breakfast after a night of torrential rain, only to be caught inside a restaurant by flash flooding. Nothing a quick wade through icy water couldn’t solve though.

This marks the forth juvenile snake I’ve spotted around our house and/or in our garage this Fall; more than the last 20 years put together. Not sure what this little fellow is. Clearly he’s not a viper, so I left him alone. Hopefully he won’t crawl into the house and scare the crap out of us.
