In spite of the freezing rain coating everything we went out for Brunch as the Sequoia. While dining we were treated to a troop of DC’s finest out training with their trikes. Now… when they can do that with their normal hogs, they’ll have real skills.

About 2 weeks ago something started attacking our bird feeders. It’s something reasonably big because it bent a 1/2 thick shepherds crook all the way to the ground. I tried mounting it numerous places higher thinking it was something like a deer, to no avail. Then this morning I discovered these claw marks on the limb next to the feeder.…
Big moon out tonight. Wasn’t enthused about waking up at 4AM for the “event,” so I just grabbed my camera and snapped a photo. At some point I’m going to have to get industrious and try to do some focus stacking to get a real crisp moon shot.
