Rain rain go away!
Portland, OR annual rainfall average: 36.69 inches. This year’s rainfall in the DC Metro area: 61.33 inches and in our particular area of Maryland that’s closer to 80″. Thank goodness I started on that ark last spring. Now if all that moisture continues into the winter!!!
Where are the infrastructure dollars
We have an utter lack of focus on mass transportation and more generally infrastructure improvement in the US. This Washington Post article discussing Amtrak boarding procedures is an excellent example of this lack of focus/concern.

Regardless of political believes, most agree H.W. Bush was a solid leader during extremely difficult times. RIP Mr. President!

Bad DC Metro Drivers
On the way to dinner this evening, we passed one wreck/mile of road. People, please don’t get in your car if you can’t drive and the weather is bad… that and put down your &$&@* phones.
