Was it worth it?

About a year ago, we had a new driveway put in and sealing it has been on my honey do list for a very long time. This weekend we saw a rare two full days forecast with near zero chance of rain, so I decided to get it over with. Off to Home Despot I went and came home with 14 5-gallon buckets of Latex-ite sealer. My driveway is about 200′ long and yea… as it turns out it was the hottest day of the summer to date. Long story short, I got the job done, but sort of wish I had simply paid someone to do it. About 1/2 way through the job, I lifted and shifted one of the 70lbs buckets and pop went my back. Obviously I couldn’t stop in the middle of the job, so I got some help and suffered through finishing it. It was miserable and now I’m pretty much laid up in bed. Lest you think me crazy, we’ve paid companies to seal the driveway in the past and they always do a crappy job by spraying a thin coat of sealer on that lasts nary a year before needing another coat. Job security I guess. Anyway, I can guarantee you that you won’t see me doing that job again. Too old and the back is to vulnerable. Live and learn.

Just barely begun the job and already feeling it
