Zebra Mom and Baby

One thing there’s no shortage of in Tanzania is zebras. We’ve passed hundreds of them on our game drives. The above photo was taken in the Ngorogoro Crater floor on one of our first drives. Mama is nuzzling her foal after she rolled around in the dirt (below).

Baby didn’t exactly know what to make of mom rolling around, but eventually he started kicking up its heels and running around (below).

As mentioned in a previous post, it’s calving season in Tanzania so many different species including monkeys, baboons, zebra, lions, wildebeests etc. are seen with their young during our drives.
