Copilot Flight To Serengeti
Yesterday we flew from Ngorongoro Crater to the center of the Serengeti on a fairly new Cessna Grand Caravan. Prior takeoff the pilot asked if anyone had flight experience. Since I have over 100 hrs in a Cessna 172 he let me copilot the flight.
It was a pretty slick experience since he had a full glass Garmin cockpit!
The flight plan was simple. We took off to the South then climbed out circling to a 315 heading, eventually reaching our cruise altitude of 8500 feet.
We cruised along getting breathtaking views of the crater and of the great migration, which, included 10s of thousands of tightly packed wildebeests, cape buffalo, etc.
After an uneventful landing we headed off to the 4-seasons.

How awesome for you to be able to co-pilot such a cool plane! You’re having such a great vacation!
